A key priority, and an oft overlooked issue, with online stores is security. There are many myths about security, as well as many missed points. In fact, nearly 90% of online stores we work on are NOT following even the most standard methods of security. The majority are shocked to find that their stores have, since opening, been open targets for hackers. This online training seminar will walk you through the MIVA Merchant admin, focusing on key security components. Topics include:

Pamela Hazelton is a seasoned trainer, writer and designer in ecommerce and MIVA Merchant. She speaks at the MIVA Conference each year, and is retained by many small companies for stuides on shopability and usability, as well as one-on-one and group training in several topics. She is the author of the MIVA Merchant Books.

We use GoToMeeting
 to hold Webinars (you do NOT need to have your own GoToMeeting account to attend training sessions). All registered attendees will receive access information no later than six hours before the meeting. Access is via the Internet and Telephone conferencing. In order to maintain focus and to help users retain information, all online training classes are limited to 10 users at a time. Our goal is retention of information, so all sessions run 1 hour increments (longer sessions include breaks), and are followed by a Q&A. Materials:
Each training session is followed up with a quick sheet that lists the topics discussed as well as resources. This allows attendees to focus on presentations and discussion without the need to take extensive notes. Guarantees:
